People looked dorky in the 80's.. well, more importantly, Depeche Mode looked dorky in the 80's. Martin Gore looks like Azrael Abyss from those Goth Talk skits. Andrew Fletcher was hott though. :( He wears glasses, which is probably why I feel that way.
Because I have nothing remotely interesting to blog today, I leave you with this until I'm further inspired.
From the official website: "SIT AND BE FIT is a non-profit organization that produces North America's award-winning health education and exercise television series, SIT AND BE FIT. The series, hosted by Mary Ann Wilson, RN, and developed with a team of medical and fitness professionals, has earned a loyal following due to its effectiveness in profoundly improving the health and wellness of television viewers and program participants. SIT AND BE FIT has been broadcast since 1987 on PBS stations to over 62.5 million U.S. households annually."
Every time I catch Sit and Be Fit on the tele, I always notice something new. Up until now I had never noticed how midi-esque the music they play in the background is. Some of it just seems like stock music but the more recognizable tunes seem very midi. Lori McCormick was kind of hot.
Being old is awesome. That must be why I own so many sequined, oversized sweaters.
There are surely a hundred ways to start your morning on the right foot. When you wake up to All About Eve showing on the tele, you know it's going to be a fantastic day. It seems almost detrimental to your taste to favourite a movie with so many Oscar nominations and wins. And definitely anyone who knows me, would think it out of character for me to like a movie with so much dialogue. But honestly, All About Eve and the Women rank pretty high on my favourites list. There's nothing more entertaining than seeing women rip each other apart using only psychological means. The best scripted scene of that nature could win over a fantastic gun fight, almost begging to compare Eve to something like High Noon. Poor Margo Channing spends most of the movie trying to call out Eve to her friends, but they think she's crazy until the last minute when the threat becomes apparent.
Geesh, now I want to watch High Noon.
